On March 10, singer/TV personality Kangnam shared a short video via his YouTube channel, titled "Notice. Filming will be difficult for the time being. I'm sorry."

Appearing with a mask covering his face, Kangnam stated, "I wanted to give everyone a heads up so I am filming this video on the fly." 

He then continued, "I was playing with a certain someone, but then they got angry and did this to my face." Kangnam then pulled off his mask to reveal two long scratches on his cheeks, creating marks resembling red tear streaks. 

Kangnam went on, "I was just playing with the stomach of this certain someone, but then they got very angry and scratched my face. I wanted to go ahead and make this video because if I didn't, some people might think that my wife did this to me. So I have apprehended the culprit, and she is right here."

Kangnam then brought his family's dog Lia into the frame, adding, "It's actually my fault. I was bothering her, which is why this happened. Sorry, Lia."

Finally, the star said, "Next week, I am supposed to film a skincare commercial. To affiliates of the campaign, this is an emergency situation. I'm sorry for creating this situation."

Meanwhile, outside of the frame, Kangnam's wife Lee Sang Hwa seemed unbothered by the whole ordeal, simply commenting on how cute Lia was, or carrying on an unrelated conversation with her mother in the background.
