It has been reported that rapper Nafla, who was suspected of trying to avoid mandatory military service, has been arrested.

On February 22, the Seoul Southern District Prosecutor’s Office 5th Detective Division issued an arrest warrant stating that the suspect, Nafla is a flight-risk, with the potential to flee after the interrogation (for the warrant review).

In addition, warrants were issued for Mr. A, an official at the Seocho-gu Office in Seoul, and Mr. B, an official at the Seoul Regional Military Manpower Administration - who are suspected of helping Nafla to evade military service.

Previously, Nafla was being accused of delaying his enlistment and applying for divided service - in which a soldier can pause his military service and resume after a period of time - while serving as a social worker several times for the purpose of receiving treatment for his depression to receive a judgment of being unfit to serve. Mr. A and Mr. B were found to have participated in Nafla's attempt to avoid military service by filling out false documents in his favor.

On the 30th of last month, the prosecution seized and searched three locations, including the Seocho-gu Office Safety City Department and the Seoul  Regional Military Manpower Administration. On February 15, after summoning Nafla and others as suspects for investigation, the prosecution requested arrest warrants for the individuals on charges of violating the Military Service Act.
