Drama 'Dream High' will find new life as a stage musical 12 years after broadcast

On January 26, Art One Company announced that popular KBS drama 'Dream High' that first aired in 2011 will be finding new life on the stage as a musical in the first half of the year. 

The drama, which launched Taecyeon, Kim Soo Hyun, Suzy and IU's acting careers into the spotlight, told the story of young performing arts students who dreamed of pursuing a career as stars. 

The stage musical will depict the story of the main characters after they graduate from high school. The story based on the original work is sure to provide excitement for fans of the drama, as they'll be able to see what happens to their favorite characters. 

The musical is expected to deliver the same kind of energy as watching a concert by combining exciting choreography with the music. Expectations are also rising as to who will be cast for the lead actors, especially the character Song Sam Dong (originally played by Kim Soo Hyun in the drama).
