BTS's Jin has started off 2023 as a hit artist on Shazam!
On January 7 KST, the global music-identifying platform released their Week's Top 10 Artists list for the first week of the month, with Jin holding the #1 spot for the 14th consecutive week. This is a Korean artist's first and longest 1st place record and the longest 1st place among artists around the world in 2022.
With this, Jin became the only K-pop artist to take first place in the solo and group categories of Shazam's Global Weekly Top 10 Artists list. Other artists on the list include U.S. pop star Lady Gaga and Nigerian singer Rema.
Meanwhile, as previously reported, Jin recently surprised fans with a special message filmed before he went on a military hiatus. According to the announcement, it seems messages will be released monthly while he is away for military service.
