120 killed and hundreds injured in Itaewon due to crowd surge

It has been reported that 120 people have been killed in Itaewon due to the crowd surge.
As reported, over 100,000 individuals gathered in the neighborhood on October 29 to celebrate Halloween. According to Seoul Economy Daily, fire officials reported that 120 people have died and hundreds were injured, with the numbers rising.
It has also been reported by several eye witnesses that the incident was caused by a crowd surge at a steep alley area. Others also claim that there was allegedly a celebrity in the area, which further provoked the surge.
Meanwhile, South Korea's President Yoon Suk Yeol has called an emergency meeting in light of this tragic incident.
In the end, nothing they say or do can bring all these people back from the dead. That's the harsh reality. One can just hope that they will at least learn something from this and be able to prevent such unnecessary deaths in the future.

May they rest in peace. The families deserve answers. The police department KNEW that around 100,000 people were coming to Itaewon and there was NO CROWD CONTROL. Also the government needs to respond why Yongsan Police Department (The police department in Itaewon) was not staffed properly as they have been complaining that they have been understaffed since the beginning of this year.
