On August 24, the 'Content Marketing Summit (CMS) 2022' was held at COEX in Samseong-dong, Seoul.

Head of Twitter Korea, Kim Yeon Jeong, who is in charge of the global K-pop and K-content association, participated as a speaker addressing the topic "Past, Present and Future of K-Contents."

The number of tweets for K-content on Twitter has increased significantly by 546% over the past 10 years. It is analyzed that the influence of global fandom formed by Kpop led to the globalization of Korean content by expanding to movies, dramas, and webtoons.

K-pop plays an important role in the popularity of K content. Director Kim said, “The appearance of K-pop idols like Kim Se Jeong from 'Business Proposal,' Lee Jun-ho from 'Red Sleeves,' Kim Jisoo from 'Snowdrop' are examples of the increase in tweets about dramas in the year.

BLACKPINK's Jennie is another great example as she will be the first Asian idol to debut in a non-Korean series, which indicates that little by little, the great acting talents that Korea has will be able to have more exposure abroad if the series arrives to be successful.

This year's most popular Korean dramas were also mentioned, and according to the latest Twitter report, 'Snowdrop,' which aired on JTBC from December last year to January 30, was the most tweeted about K-drama show this year to date.
