Former IZ*ONE member Jo Yu Ri has tested positive for COVID-19.
On July 20, Jo Yu Ri's agency, Wake One Entertainment, posted an official statement announcing that the singer had tested positive for COVID-19 on this day.
The entertainment agency wrote, "Our artist Jo Yu Ri tested positive on this day (July 20) for COVID-19. Jo Yu Ri had already received three doses of the vaccination but is currently experiencing a sore throat and light cold-like symptoms. Therefore, she has halted all schedules and is concentrating on receiving treatment."
Wake One Entertainment continues to explain, "As a result, she will not be attending the Soundberry Festa '22 that is coming up on the 23rd. We will post further announcements in regards to her future schedules."
The agency concluded by saying, "We consider the health and safety of our artists as our top priority and will take necessary measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19. We apologize for causing concerns to our fans."
