As YG Entertainment announced Bigbang's comeback this spring, the news trended on Korea, Japan, and China's biggest news media outlets.
As soon as the news came out, Bigbang took 2nd, 4th and 11th place overall and took 1st place in TV entertainment ranking on Korean media outlet Naver.
They also took 3rd spot in Japan's biggest news outlet Yahoo News, where it's extremely rare for foreign artists to rank.
Besides, the article titled "Bigbang's releasing new music.." published on China's biggest news-SNS platform Weibo, trended at #2 overall. The article released by Sina Entertainment was viewed over 240 million times and received over 186,000 likes in 15 hours.
Not only the media outlets, Bigbang took 1st place on Melon's search ranking and also trended worldwide on Twitter.
