Red Velvet's Yeri posts an affectionate message for her former S.M.ROOKIES members Goeun & Herin

On January 5, Red Velvet's Yeri updated her Instagram story with nostalgic photos of her and her former S.M.ROOKIES members, Goeun and Herin. 

Alongside the photos, Yeri wrote, "Girls, I love you~ Let's all live bright, shining lives~ I will always be by your side~". The girls can be seen being goofy and having fun together, the perfect image of best friends. 

Meanwhile, former S.M.ROOKIES member Herin joined SM Entertainment as a trainee in 2012 before leaving the agency in 2017. Afterward, she appeared as a contestant on Mnet's 'Idol School'. Former S.M.ROOKIES member Goeun joined SM Entertainment as a trainee in 2011 before leaving the agency in 2020.

Even if you're talented, if you don't fit the group's concept that the company has in mind, you won't debut. These girls are undoubtedly talented. But unfortunately they weren't able to debut in Aespa as SM thought they didn't for the concept.

I miss Herin 😢 We got to see her and some of the other female SM Rookies on the Mickey Mouse Show, but they never debuted. It's expensive to stay on as a trainee, and so it's unfortunate but not unexpected for the girls to decide to return home after training for so long with nothing to show for it.
