EXO's Xiumin has tested positive for COVID-19.

On August 5, SM Entertainment announced Xiumin had tested positive for the coronavirus, and he would be halting activities for the time being. The label stated, "We're here to inform you that EXO's Xiumin has tested positive for COVID-19 as of August 5. Previously, Xiumin took a COVID-19 test in order to attend practice for a musical and first received a negative result. However, on August 4, he felt abnormal symptoms and received a positive test on August 5."

SME continued, "As a result, EXO members and staff are all currently self-isolating as they wait for their results. In addition, all broadcast programs in which Xiumin is appearing in have been notified of this fact and all cast and staff related to the musical 'Hadestown' will be tested for COVID-19. Xiumin will immediately stop all schedules and actively follow the instructions of the quarantine authorities, and we'll do our best so the artist recovers quickly."
