Girls' Generation's Taeyeon tops global music charts with 'Weekend'

Girls' Generation's Taeyeon has topped global music charts with her latest single "Weekend".

Taeyeon's "Weekend" dropped just yesterday, and it's already topped music streaming sites like Genie, Bugs, and VIBE. The single is also #1 on iTunes 'Top Songs' chart in 14 regions, including the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Chile, Peru, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, Vietnam, Hong Kong, Cambodia, the Philippines, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Luxembourg as well as on China's QQ Music's digital album sales chart. 

Fans can expect Taeyeon to promote her new single on 'M! Countdown', 'Music Bank', 'Show! Music Core', and 'Inkigayo'.
