Taeyeon's new single 'Weekend' confirms its release date

Girls' Generation's Taeyeon will be returning with her new song, "Weekend".

Taeyeon's new single "Weekend" is scheduled to be released on July 6th at 6PM KST, on various music sites such as Flo, Melon, Genie, iTunes, Apple Music, Spotify, QQ Music, KuGou Music, and Kuwo Music. 

"Weekend" is a disco-pop genre, decorated with delicate guitar and retro synth sounds. The lyrics will express one's desires to momentarily escape their repetitive daily life, and go far away to places their heart wants to go to, with a free spirit.

In addition to Taeyeon's well-known sweet vocals, listeners will also be able to hear Taeyeon's singing rap. This will likely add to the song's heart-fluttering emotions.
