Former April member Hyunjoo shares an update on her family's lawsuit & references Chaewon's recent statement

On June 18, former April member Hyunjoo shared a lengthy Instagram post, updating her followers on her and her family's ongoing lawsuits.

Hyunjoo wrote:

"Hello, this is Hyunjoo.

First, to quickly update you on what I've been up to lately. My younger sibling who is facing a lawsuit is still a student, and so my family is currently focussed on handling this lawsuit. And even though I have not received any formal information from the police, I learned through the news reports that I have also been sued, and so it seems that I will need to begin preparing for my own lawsuit as well. I know that many people are worrying about me, and are also cheering me on. I sincerely thank you. I believe that I am responding well to the legal procedures so far, and I feel that I can continue to do so.

Today, I decided to write this post because of something that worried me. As many of you know, a lot of things have happened lately; but I know better than anyone that slander, mockery, and malicious comments can be very hurtful and unbearable to endure. So even though I am doing well and am healthy these days, seeing the recent events, I have been looking back on those times when I was unwell both mentally and physically. I do not wish to return the pain that I endured on anyone.

Everyone is capable of doing wrong. However, when you accept your wrongdoings and put in effort to correct them, forgiveness becomes possible, and at that point they may be called mistakes. So I would like to sincerely ask that you all stop your criticism and malicious comments toward the members, their acquaintances, and others.

I have tried my best to live while feeling grateful for the smallest forms of happiness. Everyone has the right to be happy, and I hope that they can find that happiness.

I feel more concern about such things today because it is a rainy day. I hope that you all will have a happy Friday, and thank you for reading my ramblings."

Meanwhile, back on June 16, April member Chaewon posted a lengthy statement via the group's official fan cafe, denying all accusations of bullying former member Hyunjoo.

Dsp media didn't even told her that she was sued. She found out through news. What a shitty company.

Wow way to be the bigger person, Hyunjoo. That's honestly very nice and civil of her towards the rest of the member, compared to what they're doing to her.

I really think idols need to call out malicious behaviour. Just because there is bad blood between two/multiple idols doesn't mean that fans can step in to comment mean and nasty things. I applaud her for her courage and how she is handling this.

I used to be on the fence about this situation. As it progress, however, I'm starting to see some truth about the accusation and I'm leaning a bit more towards Hyunjoo's sides.
