Critics and celebrities worldwide highlight “Blue & Grey” by BTS‘s V as one of the finest tracks in 'BE'

BTS’s new album titled “BE” is taking over the world by storm. Along with the title track, the third track, “Blue & Grey” composed and produced by member V is receiving heaps of praise from not only the fans but also critics and celebrities worldwide.

“Blue & Grey” is an acoustic pop ballad that V confirmed as a song he wrote for his upcoming mixtape. As per the star, after he shared the song with the members during the filming of “In The Soop,” which was televised earlier this year, they encouraged him to submit the song for the album.

It would not be wrong to say that “Blue & Grey” was one of the most-talked-about tracks pre-release. However, the world was not prepared for such a masterpiece. Since its official release, the fans have already concluded it as one of their favorites, commending the septet, especially V for his artistry.

Aside from the fans, the track has also become one of the most critically acclaimed songs as various music critics have noted the ballad as a highlight in their album review.

LA TIMES noted “Blue & Grey” as a beautifully harmonized emotional track that documents the homebound lonely era of music that we are in today. While Metro UK remarked the track as one that acts as a time capsule, which is likely to connect with many who have struggled with their mental health. They also highlighted that it was refreshing for the world's biggest band to address anxiety and depression so candidly.

Indigomusic notes the song as one that entrances the audience through its airy notes and whimsical runs. Additionally, Evening Standard UK named the track as the “schmaltziest moment of the album.” Elite Daily shared an entire article praising the lyrics noting it as a ballad that takes the fans on an emotional journey.

In addition to the media powerhouses, “Blue & Grey” has also received major love from renowned musicians and celebrities worldwide. Most notably, Lim Hyungjoo, one of the most respected operatic pop singers of South Korea who is also a voting member for the GRAMMYs, revealed that the ballad is infinitely on repeat as it is his favorite from the album.

Furthermore, popular South Korean singer Heize also liked the post by NIve, sharing his gratitude for the opportunity to work on the track. Jed Mala, one of the vocal powerhouses of the Philippines, and Teresita Ssen Marquez, a popular Filipino actress, also tweeted their love for the track.

“Blue & Grey” is also steadily rising on the worldwide iTunes chart, becoming the second-highest charting song from the album. As of now, the song has charted in 38 countries, most notably, reaching the top three in the UK and the US.

The audio track has surpassed over 1 million streams on YouTube, marking it as the most-liked and most-streamed audio track from the album. It is also the highest trending B-side track currently trending on the top ten in several countries and at #6 worldwide.

With a beautiful ballad, V has once again proven his capabilities as a writer and producer. The melody, the lyrics, as well as his vocals along with the rest of the members is truly remarkable.

“Blue & Grey” is a song that tugs at every heartstring, a song that takes the listeners on a journey, and a song that is now one of the most-loved and critically acclaimed ballads by BTS.

Many Congratulations to Producer V.
