“JIMINS”, a keyword for BTS Jimin hit Worldwide real-time trends for Twitter shortly after the release of Teaser Photos for BTS’s upcoming single Dynamite.
On 11th of August, BTS released the first set of its Teaser Photos for its upcoming single Dynamite. The digital single is scheduled to be released on the 21st of August. The set consists of seven photos of each member individually taken. The photos were posted on the official Twitter, Instagram and Facebook accounts of BTS.
Shortly after the Teaser Photos were posted, JIMINS trended in several countries such as USA, United Kingdom, Australia and the Philippines, confirming the excitement of fans to support Jimin and their new single and affirming Jimin's global popularity.
Additionally, Jimin’s Teaser Photo became the fastest among the seven teaser photos to receive 1 million likes on Instagram in about 30 minutes and then reached 2 million likes in just two hours.
Meanwhile, Jimin’s unique hashtag #JIMIN has also reached 12 Billion Views in Tiktok, the largest global video-sharing app, since 10th of August. It is the second most viewed hashtag by a Korean artist and Jimin is the third individual whose hashtag has earned 12 billion views.
Prior to that, on the 3rd of August, Jimin has broken his early record and surpassed 50 million mentions on Instagram. Jimin is the first and the only individual to put such record in the books.
As his previous record states, Jimin owns the most frequently used hashtag in Instagram, beating world-famous personalities such as former US President Barack Obama, Justin Bieber and Taylor Swift.
