MTV VMAs create a K-POP category

MTV has just announced the nominees for the 2019 VMAs and the list includes, for the first time,

a "best k-pop" award.

BTS, TXT, Monsta X, EXO, and BLACKPINK are all nominated for this category.

Congratulations to all the nominees and to BTS who grabbed not one but four nominations!

They created this category to box BTS, it is extremely xenophobic. The boys are doing Ariana level numbers and higher and still wont be nominated for the main awards. Last year they did AMAZINGLY and didnt even get one nom. Ridiculous

BTS is the top group in the US and the world, not the top kpop group or the top boy band, THE top group. They do not deserve to be put on the sidelines. They have more sales, views and engagements than most of the other nominees, and they are still not getting the recognition/credit they deserve.
