Hyeri of K-pop girl band Girl's Day has become a member of the UNICEF Honors Club by donating more than 100 million won ($84,900).

Her agency said Tuesday that a membership ceremony will take place on July 26.

The club is for sponsors who have donated 100 million won or more. Its members include Jin of K-pop titan BTS, actors Won Bin, Lee Min-ho, Song Joong-ki, Lee Jong-suk and figure skater Kim Yuna.

UNICEF Korea said Hyeri's donation will be used to run educational programs for underprivileged children and AIDS-prevention campaigns in underdeveloped nations in Asia.
