YG Entertainment Releases Official Statement Denying That Han Seo Hee Was Ever A YG Trainee

YG Entertainment has released an official statement that Han Seo Hee was never a trainee at the agency.

Recently, Dispatch reported that B.I had allegedly tried to buy marijuana and LSD (lysergic acid diethylamide) from “A” in 2016. Since then, B.I has posted on his Instagram account and announced his departure from iKON and YG Entertainment, with the agency confirming the news. “A” filed a report to the Anti-Corruption and Civil Rights Commission claiming that YG had ties to the police and used that to conceal B.I’s involvement in the 2016 drug case, and the identity of “A” was revealed to be Han Seo Hee.

On June 17, YG Entertainment released a statement that read, “‘A,’ the person known as the informant, was never a trainee under YG Entertainment.” They explained, “Though we have made requests to media outlets to make corrections, wrong information continues to be reported. Therefore, we would like to reaffirm the fact [that ‘A’ was never a YG trainee] once more through this official statement.”

The Gyeonggi Southern Provincial Police Agency has announced that they will be forming a task force to further investigate the case, and “A” is expected to be called in for further questioning.

Is she a YG former trainee a key point of the case? The major issue is YHS talked her to change the statement in police questioning for BI's involvement in using/purchasing drugs. Apparently, YHS knew her in a matter that he can get her into the office to discuss an ongoing police investigation. Was YHS always able to know a stranger's confession of the drug use to the police? and Was he always so kind to offer the advice to a stranger and even hire a lawyer for the stranger?

I can see where YG is going with this move. YG tries to localize the problem to BI and Lee Seunghoon because so far the circumstantial evidence only shows BI and Lee contacted her. Even YHS admitted he talked to her regarding BI, but whether he threatened her or not, it is his words against her words. This is where YHS can be prosecuted for threatening and obstruction of justice. YG will say YHS didn't know her in person in order to support what YHS said he only offered her advice not to get into defamation. But by playing these tactics, people will ask one question how BI and Lee know this druggie girl if they fall for the trainee denial statement. That's what YG wants, basically YHS pushes BI and Lee to face the public's doubt.

I think YG already made BI take the major fault, and will use Hoon as 2nd line defense to protect YHS.
