BTS “Love Yourself: Answer” is now BRIT Certified In UK making BTS the first Asian Act to achieve it

BTS’s “Love Yourself: Answer” went silver in the United Kingdom, right before the group takes to the stage at the legendary Wembley Stadium this weekend!
On May 31, it was announced that the group’s 2018 album “Love Yourself: Answer” has achieved silver BRIT certification.
BRIT Certified awards are administered by the British Phonographic Industry, the trade association of the United Kingdom’s recorded music industry. For an album to receive a silver award, it must reach 60,000 units in sales.
I searched the BPI database and it seems that BTS is the only Korean to get an album certificate..
"According to BPI, they would take the 12 most-streamed tracks from the standard version of an album, with the top two songs down-weighted in line with the average of the rest."
This must be why Psy didn't get an album certificate despite the overwhelming success of Gangnam Style.(2x Platinum)
