Seouljangsoo Co. has released a statement on Roy Kim following the news of his connection to Jung Joon Young's controversial chatroom.
On April 3, the manufacturing company clarified its association with Roy Kim, telling media outlets, "Roy Kim is just one regular shareholder of many. He has no ownership. He has no influence as a regular shareholder, and there's no reason for our company to release an official statement."
The company also continued they had no connection to Roy Kim's father Kim Hong Taek, who was previously the president of Seoul Takju makgeolli in 2014, stating, "Seouljangsoo Co. is a business made up of many shareholders coming together. On TV broadcasts, it was made to seem as if Roy Kim and former chairman Kim Hong Taek owned the business, and we're worried this may have an influence on the operation of the business."
In related news, Roy Kim will be undergoing questioning for his association to Jung Joon Young's chatroom, where illegally filmed hidden camera footage was shared.
