Kim Shin Young confesses she had a boyfriend when she was on 'We Got Married'

Kim Shin Young confessed her on-screen romance with actor Shin Sung Rok was all business. 

On the April 18 airing of MBC FM4U's 'Kim Shin Young's Hope Song at Noon,' Kim Shin Young revealed, "I had a boyfriend during 'We Got Married.' We fought a lot whenever I returned from filming. He always asked, 'Did you enjoy it?'"


As for the reason why she went on the on-screen marriage show even when having an actual boyfriend, Kim Shin Young said, "I had to do whatever that came my way back then. And I didn't want to give viewers a feeling of betrayal (by revealing my relationship)." 


Kim Shin Young added, "Relationship (with Shin Sung Rok) was clearly just business."

I just don't get the concept of WGM. Who enjoys watching scripted (and extremely cringey) romance? Hopefully one day fans will let their idols or other celebrities just date in peace without calling it a scandal. Isn't it much nicer to see them actually happy with their partner on all their SNS instead of watching them follow a script on a dating show?
