Cube Entertainment's latest unit project Wooseok X Kuanlin - comprised of Pentagon's Wooseok and former Wanna One member Lai Kuan Lin - opened up about how they decided to become a duo.
The pair recently held a special unit debut showcase at Seoul's Yes24 Live Hall to answer questions from the press and perform songs from their debut mini album '9801' for the first time.
"People around us always tell us that we look alike," Wooseok explained to the press. "When we heard things like that, we thought it would be fun to perform as a unit. So I talked to the company, and it ended up working out."
"We said that we wanted to do something fun," Lai Kuan Lin added. "Thankfully, they took our request seriously."
Meanwhile, Wooseok X Kuanlin's debut mini album '9801,' including title track "I'm A Star," is set for release on March 11 at 6 PM KST.
