ITZY talked about their group name.
On February 12, the new JYP Entertainment girl group went on Naver's V Live with the title 'The 1st Single Live Premiere.' The rookies were interviewed by special MCs Lim and Yubin.
Lim asked, "What's the meaning of ITZY?" Chaeryeong explained, "It is what it is. It means we got everything you want," and shared producer J.Y. Park created the name.
Yubin asked what the girls thought of the group name when they first heard it. Chaeryeong replied, "I wondered, 'What language is this?' when I first heard it but after learning the meaning, I thought it was clever."
