JTBC is taking strict legal action against the culprit who leaked PDF files of drama 'SKY Castle's entire script for upcoming episodes 17 and 18.
This is the first time ever that an entire, official drama script has been leaked online, and with only 4 episodes left until the finale, JTBC is suffering significantly from the leaked script which is still roaming around various online communities. 'SKY Castle' is also the drama with the highest ever viewership ratings in JTBC's history, making the script's leak even more unfortunate, as the issue quickly garnered the attention of numerous viewers.
On January 17, JTBC revealed, "We have commissioned an official police investigation regarding the leaked scripts. Despite our strict warning against any leaking of content in order to protect viewer rights, the scripts are still roaming the web. This is not only a clear violation of copyright against the scriptwriter's creative content, but also a great impediment of morale for the staff and viewers. By commissioning a cyber police investigation, we will find the initial culprit as well as various middle figures who exploited the leaked script and call for merciless penalization."
Finally, JTBC asked viewers, "Please refrain from leaking the content any further."
Episodes 17 and 18 of 'SKY Castle' are set to air this Friday and Saturday, January 18-19.
