Netizens witnessed a hilarious banter between Google Chrome
On August 30, two of the biggest web browsers -- Google and Firefox -- butted heads over a privacy issue when Google responded to a netizen's tweet over K-Pop.
The netizen shared that s/he forgot to turn off their Google Home Mini before leaving the house, suggesting that the device should still be playing K-Pop inside an empty home. To this comment, Google made a joke informing the user that it's currently playing Red Velvet
Then, a day after, their biggest rival Firefox made its way into the conversation. Under Google's reply, it wrote, "(Firefox) could never...track what's playing on your devices? Probably true. Privacy is a pretty big thing for us."
With much 'sass', Firefox had basically thrown shade at Google over the topic of privacy, along with a cute GIF of Irene to play into the Red Velvet meme!
After seeing this cheeky banter, fans began sharing more hilarious GIFs of Red Velvet. Could both Google Chrome and Firefox be secret conglomerate fans of Red Velvet? Check out the reactions above!
