Based on a popular webtoon of the same name, 'My ID is Gangnam Beauty' tells the story of Kang Mi Rae (played by Lim Soo Hyang), a girl who was bullied all her life for being "ugly", even carrying the nickname "Kang Ork" in school. As you can see in the preview above, Kang Mi Rae works hard to lose weight even as an elementary schooler, but even after becoming skinny, she's badly rejected by her crush, being named called "Kang Ork". 

Right before college, Kang Mi Rae undergoes a complete transformation with cosmetic surgery on her entire face - to the point where not even her father can recognize her. While her father walks away in anger after seeing his daughter's transformation, Kang Mi Rae's college peers instantly label her as a "campus goddess" - until a few peers who recognize her from her pre-surgery days begin to cause trouble. One of the peers from Kang Mi Rae's past who recognizes her - Do Kyung Suk (played by ASTRO's Cha Eun Woo) - doesn't seem as repelled by her cosmetic surgery transformation. What as their relationship like in the past?
