The YG head producer has been answering various fans' questions by responding to them directly via Instagram, delivering the fastest, most factual answers before any media outlets or rumors regarding YG artists' activities.
This time, Papa YG addressed the comebacks of Big Bang's Seungri, Sechskies, and Lee Hi, as well as the latest complaints surrounding 'iKON TV'. Read Papa YG's Q&A below:
1. Around what month will Seungri make a comeback? Just a little hint please TT.
A: He's aiming for the first half of this year.
2. What about Lee Hi?
A: She has officially started recording.
3. Head producer-nim~ What about Sechskies? Their 21st anniversary is on April 15 TT.
A: Two months ago, I told all of my producers to get on with song production and recording by the end of this month.
4. Papa... The 'iKON TV' that we worked so hard to obtain TT Please revisit the show's aim and future direction and re-film TT We are very upset TT.
A: Yes. Don't worry too much. I understand how iKONICs must be feeling.
The issue currently surrounding 'iKON TV', which is set to premiere some time in April, is that fans are unhappy with some reported, witness accounts and rumors so far. Some accounts stated that the members were given a mission to go outside on a day when the fine particle (PM) levels in Seoul were unnaturally high. Other rumors said that the show gave iKON the mission to write the script for their reality show on their own. Even more rumors claimed that iKON will be trying out various part-time jobs on 'iKON TV', with the general public contributing in matters by vote. The bulgogi home shopping broadcast, is also a part of 'iKON TV'.
Overall, fans' voiced, "We just want to see iKON in their dorms or working on music... what they look like when they wake up, what kind of delivery food they eat at home... is this what we begged 3 years for", etc. Stay tuned for updates.
