'Produce 48' has revealed some details... and netizens are confused.
Insiders have revealed that there will be a total of 96 trainees - 48 from Korea and 48 from Japan. However, the Korean trainees will only be up against the other Korean trainees, while the Japanese trainees will only be up against the other Japanese trainees. The final team will be made of the top 6 Korean trainees and top 6 Japanese trainees, and therefore will include 12 members.
Here comes the confusing part: It's also been revealed that Koreans will only be able to vote for the Japanese trainees, while only the Japanese will be able to vote for Korean trainees. Many are confused at the voting dynamic, which doesn't quite seem to make sense.
'Produce 48' will start airing in May. Do you think you'll be watching?
