Fans of Wanna One's Kang Daniel have donated 9.9 million Won (~$9299 USD) to comfort women victims.
On December 21, The Korean Council for the Women Drafted for Military Sexual Slavery by Japan revealed Kang Daniel's fans donated 9.9 million Won to the cause on the 15th. His fans previously announced the donation project, stating, "It'll be a good way to celebrate Kang Daniel's birthday on December 10 and think back on our painful history."
From December 3 onwards, 852 of Kang Daniel's fans donated to the elderly victims who suffered as comfort women. The Wanna One member himself previously showed his support for the cause by wearing items from Marymond, a company known for aiding comfort women victims.
