BTS' RM explained further on why he changed his name from Rap Monster.
He had officially changed his stage name last month on the 13th, explaining it was more appropriate for the broader music he wanted to pursue. He further explained the reason, saying, "I turn 25 next year. When I say the name 'Rap Monster', it feels like it's too much. I thought it was so cool so I used it, but I didn't want to be limited just to rap. I was worried about living just like my name, so I changed it."
