On October 25, the staff and the mentoring team of KBS2's 'The Unit' attended the show's press conference! In addition to Hwang Chi Yeol, HyunA, SHINee's Taemin, San E, and Urban Zakapa's Jo Hyun Ah, CP Han Gyung Chun and PD Park Ji Young came in front of the press. It seems head mentor Rain was unable to attend, likely due to his family's latest good news.

During the press conference, CP Han Kyung Chun explained the program as "A story about youths and their dreams... It's hard not to lose that passion toward your dreams, and we will be acting as assistants to help them achieve those dreams."
To a question about rival program JTBC's 'Mix Nine', Han CP said, "We set our broadcast schedule first. Our program's aim is not to earn revenues, but to provide opportunities. An audition program has advantages in terms of viewership and attention, but we plan on appealing to a wide spectrum of viewers."
