The competition was hosted by the Korea Remodeling Association. Any buildings that were all started within the period from January 1, 2012 to July 20, 2017 for remodeling were considered for the competition, and Sangji Engineering Architecture was rewarded for their remodeling of the Pledis Entertainment building.

Oirginally, the building had a restaurant on the 1st floor and office spaces on the 2nd and 3rd floors. The building was then re-modeled to a 4-floor structure, including an elevator, practice rooms, and recording studios for Pledis Entertainment.
