At the press conference for his 3rd solo album 'White Night' on August 16, Taeyang explained, "I made an album that I'm satisfied with. I hope a lot of people give attention." He continued, "If I show more of myself on variety shows, it'll become a link and make people find and listen to my music. That's why I've been going on variety shows."

He also shared another reason behind his variety show appearance, saying, "Yang Hyun Suk is the one that asks for my decision on variety show appearance. This album and the MVs were made in a direction I wanted. So I came to go on all the variety shows that the chief (Yang Hyun Suk) suggested without any objections."
Taeyang is scheduled to appear on MBC's 'I Live Alone' and JTBC's 'Knowing Brothers'.
