A couple of days ago, one of the trainees from 'Produce 101' season 2, Jung Joong Ji (Jung Mo Sae) accused his past label of noise marketing which caused him to suffer in rankings. Jung Joong Ji (now Jung Mo Sae) had been accused of sexual harassment during 'Produce 101' and had as a result suffered from low ranking even though he had denied it on his SNS. He implied that the sexual harassment rumors were made up by WAYZ Company to produce "noise marketing."

On July 4, the past company WAYZ Company spoke up and gave a statement.

WAYZ Company said, "Hello, this is WAYZ Company. Firstly, on the second of July, Jung Joong Ji made the allegation that we as a company started noise marketing by creating false rumors. In regards to this, it is truly unfortunate and pity that it has come to this.

They continued, "Jung Joong Ji was a trainee under our company during the 'Produce 101'. In which at the time, there was an allegation made against him of sexual harassment by a female through a post she put up. The post entailed that she was sexually harassed by Jung Joong Ji and he apologized to her which caused a controversy. To solve and reach the truth objectively, we did our best to meet the victim at the time and Jung Joong Ji himself actively participated in mediating the whole situation. Afterward, the female victim received a sincere apology from Jung Joong Ji which led to her deleting her post."

They finished by saying, "Due to the controversy at the time and in addition to other issues, the company and Jung Joong Ji decided to end the contract back in early-May. Despite all this, Jung Joong Ji decided to upload a completely different story on his SNS (Instagram) page and as a result, hurt the company's image and honor. We will now be taking strong actions against him for spreading false information and defamation of character."

What do you think about the situation?

of course the company will try to ruin him and deny, saying that he lied because it's the truth but they're afraid😞

lacreme Wednesday, July 5, 2017

I believe him. K-pop agencies are known to create noise marketing to increase interest for their trainees/singers. He just told the truth and his former agency is pissed off

choi_an_ni lacreme Wednesday, July 5, 2017

yeah for a reason, I believe him as well. no one is stupid enough to make such accusation towards a company when they perfectly knew the company might sue them

The real PROBLEM for JJJ ; would be that HE is the one making the ACCUSATIONS here. Which means ; IF WAYZ Agency brings LEGAL ACTION against HIM ; then HE will have to OFFER UP some SOLID PROOF to *back up* his ACCUSATIONS. Otherwise, LEGALLY, JJJ 'ends up' as making UNSUPPORTED CLAIMS that likely DO have *negative impact* on WAYZ Agency.

while its no secret companies will do the most ridiculous things for mediaplay *cough cough Apink* the fact his company is gonna seriously sue him instead of the other way around makes me question if Joong Ji seriously thought he could get away from his past by shifting the blame to his company without consequences

krell whatever101 Wednesday, July 5, 2017

@whatever101 said --> "(APINK Agency) the most ridiculous things for (deceptive) media play *cough cough Apink* (death threat involving POLICE investigation)." ... <-- I *DOUBT* that the APINK AGENCY is actually behind any of this APINK 'death threat' activity. IF say they PAID someone to do that ; and it got *discovered* (the person 'rats them out'), then the AGENCY employees would be looking at SERIOUS JAIL TIME for that (5 YEARS in prison?). NO WAY is an *established* K-pop Agency going to risk that. A *ROGUE EMPLOYEE* might do it. But the idea that you would have DISCUSSIONS in meetings of employees to commit a FELONY BEHAVIOR CRIME seems VERY unlikely to me.

Well no one knows him to begin with anyways, so even if he does go down it's not like he had much of a reputation. But I mean, either way he's getting publicity if that's what he was aiming for, be it negative.

Ninjapotato Tuesday, July 4, 2017

Oh boy...

RoAnon9935 Tuesday, July 4, 2017

If he is telling the truth I hope he has proof because if he doesn't he's going down hard. And way to make yourself approachable by new companies in the future.

mmm i  followed this Season 2, and  honestly i  don't remember this scandal at all. That scandal shouldn't have been  very serious cuz i saw him in the finale?? right?. It's sad that he has to make this to get attention, the same thing was with the pictures he put on IG with WannaOne members like they were close or something and it was kind of obvious, in my opinion,  that he wasn't

KingKangDaniel Tuesday, July 4, 2017

I knew that couldn't be possible. Maybe they thought they could use the situation as noise marketing but they didn't make it up. Nobody would make up something like that

bangeryun94 KingKangDaniel Tuesday, July 4, 2017

Yes, they would. It's been done by agencies and by individuals.

KingKangDaniel bangeryun94 Tuesday, July 4, 2017

Which idols and companies made up that they were a sexual predator on purpose?

centen Tuesday, July 4, 2017

I feel like he's probably telling the truth, but oh boy, he should have anticipated that a serious accusation against a company would result in some kind of legal action. Especially since it's clear that they take defamation very seriously in Korea.

krell centen Tuesday, July 4, 2017

(Joking) So much for the PD101 TV 'halo' effect for JJJ.

freysan centen Tuesday, July 4, 2017

Why do you think he's telling the truth? Logically for me, it's the kid's accusation that doesn't make any sense. // 1. [+330, -7] How does it make any sense that an agency would try to promote its own trainee by putting out articles accusing him of sexual harassment? To promote something is to promote its value as a product, sexual harassment gets rid of his value as a product... // // 4. [+31, -1] Actually the rumors have been going around since his days as a Facebook star, way before 'Produce 101' ㅋㅋㅋㅋ a bunch of girls made posts saying they suffered harassment from him ㅋㅋ his agency didn't make up any rumors at all ㅋㅋㅋㅋ //

circadianite centen Tuesday, July 4, 2017

I don't know why you'd assume that. It makes no sense.

bangeryun94 centen Tuesday, July 4, 2017

Me too. He wasn't going to stay with WAYZ and they decided to taint him.

bangeryun94 freysan Tuesday, July 4, 2017

They didn't promote him. He was leaving and they knew it.

krell Tuesday, July 4, 2017

(Joking) Sounds like maybe 'Put Up' (PROOF) ; or 'Cough Up' (MONEY) time for JUNG JOONG JI ...
