After 6 years, the talented Jennifer Chung is ready to release a new album and she needs your support

misc.
The wonderfully talented Jennifer Chung is currently working on her mini album titled 'After All' and recently reached out to fans for their support.

Beginning her YouTube career in 2007, Jennifer embarked on a new adventure to share her passion for music around the world, which led to the release of her first full album in 2011 titled '4 years & counting...' It's been 6 years and Jennifer is now ready to unleash a new album to the world.

Jennifer has been financially independent from her family since she was 17. As an independent artist, it is difficult to do work odd jobs and pursue what you love (make wonderful music). Because of this, she has started a Kickstarter campaign to raise money for her mini-album. Her minimum goal is to raise $10,000.

Here is Jennifer in her own words:

"The internet is a special place for me. I grew up singing and wasn't sure how far I could actually go, but after posting my first YouTube video in 2007 set me on this journey to connect with an audience all over the world.

This journey led me to create original work, record, and release my first full length album, "4 years & counting.." in 2011.

Most of those songs were written in college during my earlier YouTube content creator days. I had fallen in love, endured heartbreak, and was entering my early young adult life. It was a snapshot of what I learned then. I was able to also produce that album with the help of my former management company. I was an independent artist then also, but had a team to help make things possible in terms of fronting the money. I recouped the expenses in time, but was having a difficult time continuing my life as an artist.

I've been financially independent from my family since I was 17.

Trying to survive in LA with college debt, working odd jobs and pursuing music was tough, to say the least. I was burnt out and uninspired. Since then, I had left my management company, was unsure of how I was going to make a living, spontaneously moved to Korea through another music opportunity, reconciled with my father after reuniting with him after 10 years, met my future husband on Instagram, got married, and moved to Atlanta. Life was insane. It was the course I needed to take to be ready to create again.

The past 4 years (do you see a pattern here?) I've taken the time to get acclimated to a whole new world and culture. Trust me when I say that the South ain't nothin' like California. (This is a good thing.) I was also learning what it meant to be an outsider, wife, and challenged myself on a daily basis by getting out of my comfort zone. Although I wasn't performing or uploading videos on YouTube regularly, these life experiences are what caused me to authentically create and have new things to share to my listeners. I've been able to befriend the ever so talented, Sam Ock, who is the producer of this album. It's been such a blessing to work with him because I've always been a fan of his work, but also since we seem to be walking parallel paths as "newly" weds with our spouses, moving to a whole new city, and learning the pains and triumphs of adulting, and doing what we can to continue to create as we feel called to do."

The $10,000 will be used for production costs, ads, promotions and so forth.  For everyone who donates to the project, there are exclusive perks and rewards including backstage access, signed CD's, a personal "Thank You" email or phone call, exclusive merchandise and much more!
