10 Idol groups that became victims to the 7-year jinx

1. SISTAR

Most recently, Dasom, Bora, Hyorin, and Soyu of SISTAR shocked the public with their unexpected disbandment news. The girls made their debut in 2010 with ''Push Push'' and they are releasing their final track ''Lonely'' on May 31, 2017.

2. B2ST

B2ST is a huge victim to the 7-year jinx as they went through a lot of trouble on their 7th year together. The group debuted with ''Bad Girl'' in 2009. Seven years later in 2016, rumors about Hyunseung departing the group surfaced. The rumors turned out to be true, and not only did they face Hyunseung's departure but also trouble with Cube Entertainment. The original members of B2ST ultimately left the label, as well as the group name. Kikwang, Doojoon, Junhyung, Yoseob, and Dongwoon have started fresh as Highlight.

3. 2NE1

2NE1 entered the K-Pop scene with ''Fire'' in 2009. Unfortunately, they faced disbandment in November of 2016; becoming another victim of the 7-year jinx.

4. TVXQ

The group TVXQ (debuted in 2003) remains to be one of the top boy groups by SM Entertainment til this day. However, the five members went through a struggling time on their 7th year together in 2010 with the controversy between SME, and Yoochun, Junsu, and Jaejoong.

5. KARA

KARA debuted with ''Break It'' in 2007. The group slowly rose to stardom and gained immense success in Japan. Unfortunately, things were just not the same as Nicole and Jiyoung left KARA on their 7th year together in 2014. The group never officially disbanded but promotional activities have not been taking place for a long time.

6. 4minute

4minute quickly became a ''Hot Issue'' with their debut in 2009 but after 7 years, the fell victim to the 7-year jinx and faced disbandment.

7. Rainbow

In 2016, Rainbow's contract with DSP Media came to an end. The girls decided to go separate ways without renewing the contract with the label. The group debuted with ''Gossip Girl'' in 2009.

8. Girls' Generation

Girls' Generation's were at the peak of their success when SM Entertainment suddenly announced the departure of Jessica 7 years after their debut with ''Into the New World'' in 2007.

9. Wonder Girls

7th-8th year of Wonder Girls was full of hot issues. The girls made their debut with ''Irony'' in 2007. On their 7th year together, Sun announced to halt all promotions due to her marriage. Shortly after Sun's marriage news, Sohee's contract with JYP Entertainment came to an end- leading to major changes in the group.

10. f(x)

f(x) debuted with ''La Cha Ta'' in summer of 2009. As the girls got close to their 7th anniversary, rumors about Sulli leaving the group started to pop up. The rumors proved to be true as SM Entertainment officially announced in 2015 that Sulli is leaving f(x) and start promoting as an actress.
