True.  It probably depends a bit on whether a member really wants to sing outside of the group, but SM isn't interested in promoting them as a solo singer or subgroup except for a very rare one-off single.  Sunny clearly isn't going to sign with another company with her family connections to SM.  If she wasn't interested in performing anymore she could always teach the graduate level course to the SM trainees on  I could also see her doing comedic musicals, sit-coms, or variety TV as an MC.  The TTS members are clearly in SM's long-term plans as a group and as individuals as long as they want to be performing and are making money for SM.  Yoona, Yuri, and Sooyoung all seem to either really like acting or realize that long-term they are likely to be better employed there post-SNSD.  Hyoyeon is probably the most interesting case of where she will go in a post-SNSD world as she doesn't act and doesn't seem to project as a soloist.  I see her either working for SM as a choreographer or dance instructor or going out on her own and founding her own dance studio or choreography company with SM perhaps handling any variety or modeling offers that still come her way if she still wants to be publicly visible.

This. I can't see snsd with other company, they still can work individually under SM without disbandment, like kangta or one of the black beat member who become vocal trainer. Let see what happen, but honestly I don't want them to disband T_T

Yes, it is highly unlikely they would go to another company at this point in their careers unless it was a major career change they were looking for that SM wasn't willing to support. Few girl groups last as long as this group has. BEG is he only active group with the same lineup that has been around longer to the best of my knowledge. Nearly every other girl group calls it quits by the end of their initial seven year contract for many reasons. This group is kind of unique in that is it still so popular and financially successful, but the time is coming where we can't expect them to live the idol lifestyle that fuels that popularity and success as they need to have the freedom to date without ridiculous scrutiny, marry, have families, pursue music they love that maybe doesn't fit with a girl group, etc. I do hope that if the group really thinks that they are going on hiatus effectively for good or disbanding that they will do a last tour for the fans. I also hope that if they do they work something out to at least let Jessica take a final bow with them. The fans would really enjoy that.
