The producers of Mnet's 'School Rapper' delivered an official statement regarding Yang Hong Won or "Young B"s controversy.

Following the second episode of the new rapper competition program, Yang Hong Won gained attention for his outstanding performance but also for his controversial past involving underage drinking, smoking, and school violence.

Another contestant Jang Yoon Joon, who came under fire for the similar reasons after the first episode, ultimately stepped down from the show.

On February 22, the producers of 'School Rapper' made an official announcement regarding Yang Hong Won.

The producers stated, "Contestant Yang Hong Won accepts his past wrongdoings and is currently reflecting his actions. He said he wasn't able to apologize to all the victims who were hurt by his mistakes after he started dreaming of becoming a rapper. He's still proving himself through continuous reflection and hard effort. Please allow Yang Hong Won to show himself grow as he's trying hard to stand up through the new opportunity. Please watch him with a pleasant perspective."

Unlike Jang Yoon Joon, Yang Hong Won will be continuing on the competition despite the ongoing criticism.
