In the upcoming KBS drama 'Hwarang', Hyungsik will be playing a king named Sam Maek Jong. Fellow ZE:A member Siwan will also play the role of a king in his upcoming drama, 'The King Loves', which is set to air in February.

At the press conference for 'Hwarang' on December 16, Hyungsik shared, "I'm Hyungsik and Siwan hyung is Siwan hyung. We each have own unique charms."
Hyungsik continued, "I wanted to do it right away after I read the script because Sam Maek Jong's character is very charming. I'm not sure if you'll be satisfied but I worked very hard and I'm also confident."
