On August 8, the renowned South Korean actor Hyun Bin made his first-ever visit to the Philippines for a press conference and fan meeting at Solaire.
After a photo call, Hyun Bin shared his initial impressions of the country. He expressed, “The Philippines was always on my list to visit.” He shared that while he has not yet had much time to explore the Philippines, the welcome he has received has been “more amazing than I expected.” Hyun Bin added that the warm hospitality of the people was a particular surprise.
The visit was particularly meaningful as it marked Hyun Bin’s first-ever trip to the country, made possible by Solaire, for which he serves as a brand ambassador. He expressed his admiration for the venue's size and luxury, stating: “When I entered Solaire, I was really surprised about the capacity and how big the place is. The luxury and prestige vibe that I have witnessed here at Solaire, I was really surprised with it.”
When asked what continues to inspire him in his career, Hyun Bin responded that he finds motivation in his ongoing communication with people.
Of all his previous roles, the actor would like to swap places with Kim Joo Won from ‘The Secret Garden.’ He explained, “Because the character has a spectacular life,” and he wants to try to live it.
When asked about his dream roles, the actor said he is open to trying any characters he hasn't played yet.
Hyun Bin also shared a piece of advice he would give to his younger self: “If I were to tell my past self something, I would tell him to enjoy the moment, the crowd, and the surroundings rather than just going forward towards your goal.”
He also stated he will strive to be a better actor for the fans who have been giving him love and support.
“I’m really grateful for the unconditional and unchanging love and support that I have been receiving from the Filipino fans,” said Hyun Bin. “With that love, I’d like to return it back to you with more projects.”
Meanwhile, Hyun Bin is set to star in the upcoming drama ‘Made in Korea’ on the Disney+ platform.
