tvN's new series 'Shinsajang Project' is a story following a chicken store owner with a secret. Boss Shin, a former legendary negotiator and current chicken shop owner, uses his talking skills to solve cases and deliver justice, all the while running his restaurant.
On August 11, tvN released a teaser, offering a glimpse of Boss Shin's unique charm, raising anticipation for the premiere. The teaser begins with Boss Shin exuding a noir vibe. When a mysterious phone rings, he answers with his deep voice, "Where are you? I'll be there at the time you requested. Don't worry." Curiosity about his identity grows as he pulls out a fountain pen without hesitation and starts writing something down.
However, the scene quickly takes a humorous turn when he says, "That'll be 10,900 won," and a kitchen timer goes off, revealing he was taking a chicken delivery order. A close-up of his business card adds intrigue. The bold line, “Leave your troublesome problems to Boss Shin,” makes viewers want to dial his number. Even more eye-catching is the word “threat” written alongside “negotiation,” sparking curiosity about exactly how he resolves conflicts and what tactics his negotiation play will involve.
Han Suk Kyu plays Boss Shin, once a legendary negotiator who advised the FBI and Interpol on crisis negotiations, now living as a neighborhood hero who runs a chicken shop. Whenever conflicts arise nearby, he’s called in as a problem-solver. Known as a “trustworthy actor” thanks to iconic roles in 'Dr. Romantic' and 'Doubt,' Han Suk Kyu is expected to once again deliver a layered performance.
Bae Hyun Sung takes on the role of Jo Philip, a former rookie judge who unexpectedly ends up working at the chicken shop, portraying the bewilderment of someone thrown into an unforeseen situation.
Lee Re plays Lee Si On, an MZ-generation delivery worker, bringing a lovable mix of youthful ambition and energetic charm.
'Shinsajang Project' will portray the intriguing double life of Boss Shin, balancing his work as both a chicken shop owner and a negotiator. Viewers are eager to see how he juggles business and high-stakes problem-solving.
