Actor Yoon Si Yoon revealed for the first time a painful family story from his childhood — that there was a time when he could not call his mother “Mom.”
At the end of the August 10th (KST) broadcast of SBS’s ‘My Little Old Boy’, the story of Yoon Si Yoon traveling to Mongolia with his mother was shown.
When a woman in a white dress approached, Yoon greeted her with a smile and called her “Mom,” surprising the studio panel, who remarked on her youthful appearance and expressed envy over the upcoming mother-son trip.
While enjoying the scenic beauty of Mongolia, Yoon’s mother shouted, “Si Yoon, I love you, my son.” Later, the two sat down for a candid conversation.
Yoon shared, “As soon as she became an adult, my mom had to start working because of me. She became a mother at a young age.”
His mother expressed her regret, saying, “Because I became a mom so young, I don’t even know when you took your first steps. I missed many parts of your growth.”
She went on to reveal, “In front of guests, I told you not to call me ‘Mom’,” recalling moments from Yoon’s childhood.
Yoon admitted, “As a child, that really hurt my feelings,” looking back on those years when he couldn’t properly address her as his mother.
Choking up, his mother said, “I am truly so sorry to you. Even now, I feel that way,” before shedding tears. Yoon comforted her warmly.
Born in 1986, Yoon Si Yoon recently joined ‘My Little Old Boy’ and previously revealed on the show that he lost 10kg while filming the SBS drama ‘Taxi Driver 3’.
