Upcoming Chinese drama 'Journey to the West' has released still cuts of Tao's transformation into the main, monkey lead!
On November 8, Sina TV revealed photos of the former EXO member posing on set. As you can see, Tao has made quite the transformation as the sword-wielding Monkey King. It's reported his makeup and prosthetics for the role takes at least 4 hours every time he films.
Tao said in a recent interview, "Though the special makeup is hard on me, I'm happy I get to play two roles."
The drama, a remake of the 2013 movie of the same name, entered filming this past July and is scheduled to premiere in December.
