LGBTQ Korea community members joined the historical citizen protest over the weekend, raising their voice against, not only the Korean president, but also LGBTQ rights issues.
On the night of November 12, over a million citizens gathered to protest against the recent Presidential scandal and to demand that President Park Geun Hye step down.

Among the million citizens were about 300 LGBTQ community members, including allies, who were there to specifically protest against the military law that criminalizes sexual intercourse between two same-sex individuals, whereas the same activity between opposite-sex individuals only results in a disciplinary measure. They demanded the abolishment of this law as well as the President's stepping down from her position.
