He'll be playing the male lead in a new MBC historical drama titled 'Monarch: Owner of the Mask' ('Monarch' for short). His role will be that of the crown prince Lee Sun during the Joseon dynasty, and the story will involve him fighting against a private organization that rose to power.
Yoo Seung Ho said about his new production, "I was sold on the loaded script and the appealing character of Lee Sun and chose this production. I will do my best to show a new side of me I haven't shown yet through 'Monarch', so please look forward to it."
Filming for the drama is set to begin in December, while it is in the process of negotiating a broadcast date sometime in 2017 with MBC.
