Lee Kuk Ju gave her thoughts on social status and work through Instagram on October 14.

She wrote, "Just because they use us and bother us doesn't make them higher in ranking and us lower in ranking.  We, whom they don't pay heed to and disregard, are really the better ones.  Just because they have a lot of money and are higher-ups do not mean they are better at all.  I don't care whether I fall to the lowest rank, I just want to work with good people."

Looks like she's fed up with work and the people around her? She's addressing quite a lot of topics like wealth, social status, hierarchies, and more. What do you make of this?

Sounds the typical work place hierarchy douchbaggadry that happens in the average Korean workplace so sad

Politics happening and she is not happy. Hope things get sorted out for her.

Sounds like someone (most likely a higher up in entertainment, CEO or PD or MC of some sort) was using his/her status to be an asshole. Just because you're higher in some way doesn't give you the right to be an asshole. Might be of higher positions, but as a human being they're the lowest of the low. Good for her on speaking up!

I like what she said. It's all true.

all people in whatever industry should be treated fair. some say she may not gain that much after this comment but you know what they read it and they will think about it. it may not bite those higher ups now but it will in the future. I also want to work with good people

Showbusiness or not, this happens to people who are employed by people who have more money and power. So unless you're capable of standing on your own and make a name for your self, don't bite the hands that feed you.

korean society too much of those so called "chaebol" abusing power

k_kid Hyungshi Friday, October 14, 2016

US is no different. Especially in the entertainment industry.

I'm a dancer and a violinist. I've worked in more countries than I can now remember. I'm a Korean woman and I can tell you the places and people who have treated me like personal property or trash were not just Koreans. As a matter of fact the only countries where I've never been groped or had to endure macho puke were Canada, New Zealand, Ireland and France.

BAD IDEA for LEE KUK JU to be posting this type of comment. NOTHING to gain from it. And maybe future *potential* employers of LKJ will think *twice* now. And *wonder* if LKJ might say something not so kind about them.

sophiesu krell Friday, October 14, 2016

Totally agree with you on this one

krell sophiesu Friday, October 14, 2016

LKJ maybe be *completely* correct in her views. But, what does she GAIN from saying it? NOTHING that matters, as i see it. Unless feeling good about 'VENTING' counts that much ... ;-)

bangeryun94 krell Saturday, October 15, 2016

Maybe future potential employers won't be calling her names or insulting her looks.

My view, would be that LEE KUK JU would *likely* be *better* off to do her criticism of an employer in a PRIVATE manner. Whereas, doing criticism 'Over The Internet' via SNS sites, does 'rub' employers the 'wrong way' in my view. It is LKJ's decision on it. I guess she feels that she can 'stand' whatever negative impact might come from it (using SNS for employer criticism).
