Web drama 'Bells' is considering taking legal action against Kangin.

According to an insider, Star J Entertainment, the producers of 'Bell's, is currently reviewing legal action against Kangin. Kangin was originally supposed to play the lead in the web drama, but because he took a hiatus after his DUI hit-and-run, the production of the drama has been heavily affected.

'Bells' started filming in April and had already finished filming. The drama had currently been in the last stages of production and was planned to be released mid-June online in both Korea and China. However, because of Kangin, all of production has been thrown to chaos. Because he is the main character, he cannot be edited out. Not only so, because of his incident, the Chinese release is now no longer certain.

The insider explained, "This happened only a month before release, so they had no choice but to consider legal action."

gwaltz Tuesday, May 31, 2016

he deserves this and there is nothing i can say other than wishing his career the best of luck *well that if he hasn't run out of luck lol*

ohsoshay Monday, May 30, 2016

well damn.....there goes his career. he should have just called a cab

danny_goes_boom Monday, May 30, 2016

well if this doesnt teach him not to drink and drive i dont know what will. again this is his SECOND time doing this. DUI's are very serious youre risking other peoples' lives just because you dont want to call a taxi driver or anyone else. its irresponsible and reckless. he deserves this

Danny1009 Monday, May 30, 2016

It's horrible. The production team had put a lot of effort. Fuck off Kangin !

Hyungshi Monday, May 30, 2016

Kangin career is over... he screw it up so bad, dude this its his 2nd offense so hard for him to get out of this now.

k007 Monday, May 30, 2016

Is it "really" that hard to call a friend or a taxi or even Uber to give you a ride???

Sugaspice k007 Monday, May 30, 2016

Even worse, Korea has this thing called designated drivers, that wil drive you home in your own car. He didn't even call for a designated driver.

danny_goes_boom Sugaspice Monday, May 30, 2016

uh i dont think thats a korean thing lol

sarahhcc danny_goes_boom Monday, May 30, 2016

No they actually do have drivers who drive your car for you if you call them. It's similar to a taxi except it's your car that they drive when you call them

Sweet_Milk_Tea k007 Monday, May 30, 2016

Uber is banned in Korea. You can look up articles about it on Google.

Sweet_Milk_Tea danny_goes_boom Monday, May 30, 2016

have you watched Entertainer? Designated drivers are a thing in Korea.

Sugaspice Sweet_Milk_Tea Tuesday, May 31, 2016

YAAASS Lee Bang Guel

danny_goes_boom sarahhcc Tuesday, May 31, 2016

oh i didnt know that. you learn something new everyday then lol

k007 Sugaspice Tuesday, May 31, 2016

Really?? OMG I need that here in the U.S. Cause sometimes you drive out and don't expect to drink but things can change as the night goes on and you end up getting drunk. Good thing the few times I drove and got drunk there was a someone else in my car that decided to stay sober for the night. But yeah he should of called for that designated service if that is available.

Sugaspice k007 Tuesday, May 31, 2016

I think some Korean restaurants in the US has that service.

charlie_d Monday, May 30, 2016

OH shit, that's bad >_<

sonelflee Monday, May 30, 2016

As an elf since 2009, Kangin should take actions on what he did and be responsible.

Armyinthehouse Monday, May 30, 2016

Ok, i will say something, as a ELF since 2009 and a drama viewer i think that if the drama is good, viewers should focus on that. Be mature, we all think that what Kangin did was wrong, but you cannot be that immature and stop watching a drama where a bunch of people is involved and worked hard for it just because of one person. I understand that the producers of the drama are afraid and think about taking legal actions because they know that viewers aren´t mature enough to do what i said.

mah1866 Armyinthehouse Monday, May 30, 2016

... and because of despicable actions from Kangin, the drama may NOT even be released anywhere, hence, there is a chance no one will get to appreciate any sort of effort dedicated to that drama at all. nothing to do with the audience's maturity, but more about what had happened because of an immaturity from one idol who was already given another chance to begin with.

Hyungshi Armyinthehouse Monday, May 30, 2016

What he have done it's illegal and you still want the drama to be on, to promote a guy who did DUI?!? what is wrong with you ... and you know the drama will be hit by so much negative vibe because of him, if it actually aired.

sarahhcc Hyungshi Monday, May 30, 2016

I think you've interpreted this the wrong way. The person was just trying to say that instead of focusing on Kangin and what he has done people should focus on the story line and plot because of all the other hard work from the staff members and other actors/actresses. Imagine if you had to do a group project and the leader of your group did something to make your teacher unhappy and therefore your teacher said that you guys all get a 0 on the project because of that one person. You would feel unfair. It's like the same thing in this situation because of one guy who did something wrong the whole production staff and the other actor/actresses have to suffer too. Now I'm NOT saying that what he did was right. Of course he should get punished accordingly and not get let off just because he's an idol.

Armyinthehouse sarahhcc Monday, May 30, 2016

Exactly, that´s what i was trying to say. His actions were wrong and he needs a severe punishment, but not the rest of people that worked hard on that project. @Mah1866 @Hyungshi, i´m not defending him at all, i´m defending the rest of the cast and crew that deserves that people can see their work and maybe gain more thanks to that project.

mah1866 Armyinthehouse Monday, May 30, 2016

even if the audience can agree to focus on other aspects of the drama aside from Kangin, the web drama definitely won't even be publicized with Kangin as the male lead. In Korean entertainment, they choose to censor/edit out celebrities who carry a bad image to prevent promotion of indecency. Censorship is tenacious in China, i imagine they would rather not let a web drama be streamed online... as opposed to wasting their time to find ways to edit/make things work for something as trivial as a web drama. All in all, this happened AFTER filming was done and JUST a month before this point I don't think the producers of the drama are "afraid", its more like they HAVE TO and are forced to take legal action because they've used up their budget to do anything more (as in re-film or switch out the male lead) and NO ONE will get compensated in the very likely case where the drama does not get aired at all.

Armyinthehouse mah1866 Tuesday, May 31, 2016

Listen, you can have your opinion and i can have mine and it´ok, but what i was explaining was what i think that would be the right thing to do, that doesn´t mean that i don´t know some things about their industry and how things will most likely go. Like i said it´s just what i think that could be the right thing to do, but of course each of us will have our opinion and it´s good. It was a good debate.
