Taehyung’s solo track “FRI(END)S” was featured in the final season of the hit Prime Video series 'The Summer I Turned Pretty,' which premiered on July 16. The song was also added to the show’s official Spotify playlist.
'The Summer I Turned Pretty' is a coming-of-age romantic drama that explores themes of first love, family bonds, and the bittersweet ache of growing up, showing how love triangles, heartbreak, and self-discovery shape who we become.
“FRI(END)S” is a soulful pop-R&B track that expresses the desire to “put the ‘end’ in friends” and transform a close friendship into something deeper, as cleverly hinted by the title’s wordplay.
Its poignant lyrics about the blurred line between friendship and romance perfectly underscore a scene with Belly’s brother Steven and her best friend Taylor in Episode 1 of Season 3.
Months ago, Taehyung’s collaboration with R&B artist UMI "wherever u r" was also featured in another hit Prime Video series, "Harlem," during an emotional scene in its season finale.
