Hui, leader and main vocalist of Pentagon, is officially parting ways with Cube Entertainment after nine years.
On July 16, Cube Entertainment released a statement through Pentagon’s official social media, announcing, “After thorough discussions, we have recently ended our exclusive contract with Hui.”
Although the contract has come to an end, the company emphasized its continued support for the artist, stating, “While Hui recovers from his injury, we will do our utmost to assist him in every possible way. We are committed to helping him heal and make a healthy return.”
Hui sustained a nasal bone fracture during a ball game on the JTBC variety show 'Mungchyeoya Chanda 4.' At the time, Cube reported that medical professionals had recommended sufficient rest and recovery, and announced that Hui would temporarily suspend all activities to focus on treatment.
Cube also expressed gratitude for Hui’s dedication over the years: “Since debuting as the leader and main vocalist of Pentagon in 2016, Hui has consistently showcased his musical talent and passion. Whether as a producer or solo artist, he has never stopped challenging himself, building a unique musical identity.”
The agency concluded, “We sincerely thank Hui for his efforts and dedication, and we ask for your continued support and warm encouragement as he embarks on a new journey.”
