In 'Dear My Friends', Lee Kwang Soo plays the son of veteran actress Kim Hye Ja as he tries to support his mother's decision to live alone at age 72.
About his role, Lee Kwang Soo shared, "In the drama, I yell at my mom sometimes and hug her warmly at other times, and while acting as Min Ho, I thought about my parents at home a lot. It was just like looking at myself, and I thought to myself a lot, 'Why didn't I do that?' It would be great if viewers sat down together with their parents or their children and watched this drama. I don't think they would regret it."
He also expressed great admiration toward his co-star Kim Hye Ja, stating, "I'd like to take this opportunity to truly thank teacher Kim Hye Ja. Sunbaenim, I love you."
tvN's 'Dear My Friends' is a drama depicting hopes that today's youth will become closer friends with the elderly.
